Behind the Scenes
at Trolley Square Mall
As part of The Hive gallery’s fashion month we did a live shoot at the mall (during open hours) for the public to come watch! It was tons of work, tons of fun and we had a great turn out of spectators! Here is a behind the scenes look with lighting diagrams (click them for a full size view) and video which will give you some real life peeks at how everything was set up! Enjoy!
Love the video, really brings it back to life. Really enjoyed that day!
Jake,
Do you ever use just one ocf?
Off Camera Flash! Ha! That one was too easy, thanks everyone. 🙂
Yes, there are lots of times I only use one OCF but it’s usually when I’m outside and the sun is able to substitute as a second light source. I also sometimes use one flash and a reflector for beauty headshots. In indoor situations where there is wardrobe styling I almost always want to use multiple lights just to show off the entire team’s hard work.
Jake thanks so much for sharing!
Hi Michelle – I’m not sure what an ocf is, could you enlighten me?
@Jake Garn I think ocf means Of Camera Flash.
Thank you for the post, it’s inspiring and great learning material.
Excellent! Thank you so much for sharing your lighting info!
(p.s. “OCF” means “off camera flash”.)
Jake,
The above is a fantastic resource and inspiration to many photographers, keep up the good work. I always look forward to your latest posts.
Andrew
Very cool work!
Thanks for sharing both the lighting diagrams and the BTS vid. Great info! The beats were pretty bangin’ too.
Nice post. I discover something harder on distinct blogs everyday. Most commonly it is stimulating to learn content using their company writers and practice a little from their site. I’d choose to apply certain using the content on my own weblog regardless of whether you do not mind. Natually I’ll supply you with a link on your web blog. Thank you sharing.
